Located at the intersection of Shengli road and Zhongshan Road, the Pingtung County Government has put in the efforts to rehabilitate former dormitories of air force officers, and turned it into the VictoryStar in Pingtung (VIP) Zone. The Jiu-Hao-Sheng Market is named with the similar pronunciation to the Taiwanese word “very fun,” where variety of merchandises are sold, such as local agricultural products, processed goods, and accessories that help de-stressing, as well as specially made creative hand-crafts. There are more surprises to be found at the market.
In addition, there are also spaces and events for parents and kids to enjoy a good time together. With a small stage where music is played, visitors can imagine themselves traveling back in time to the good old days at the village.

At this market, new inhabitants from around the world, who have moved and settled down in Pingtung, have brought delicious cuisine, beautiful crafts, and rich cultural sensation to the locals and visitors from outside of the county. You may find homemade food, desserts, and beverages…etc.
What’s special about this market is that, the new inhabitants would put on their traditional outfit from their countries, and bring their family member(s) to participate in the grand celebration. Through the liveliness of the event in a celebratory atmosphere, the new inhabitants can interact with one another and visitors to ease the home-sick feelings, as well as creating heart-warming cultural interactions.

On a farm next to the Provincial Highway 1, beautiful off-white tents are installed with wooden booths in countryside style. The colors of the farm and the installations would bring the visitors a sense of traveling to a small town in the countryside in Europe.
During every Saturday and Sunday, this venue becomes a market for young entrepreneurs to display and/or sell their works and merchandises. They can interact and have experience exchange with one another and with visitors to generate new creativity. The installed tents are not only for business, but visitors can also make reservation for it, as well as purchasing delightful food from the vendors in the venue. Come on out and be surrounded with nature with friends and do an easy picnic while catching up with each other. The best way to spend a great time is to have good company in a field where worries are forgotten.

To support youth micro-entrepreneurship and increase their chances of starting a successful enterprise, Pingtung County Government established its own brand " Hó-Pîng-iú Market " and has accompanied more than 500 local youth groups for 3 years since 2021. Every year, youth creative local brand market is regularly held with art and cultural performance activities to provide opportunities for young entrepreneurs to increase visibility and exposure, showcase professionalism and creation as well as undertaking a series of courses on brand management. Products from those startups can be more widely known, thereby promoting product sales and improving the operational stability of young entrepreneurs.
